Heroic Kronax Raid Guide
A complete Heroic Kronax walkthrough covering relic timing, phase rotations, the final damage race, recommended armor, weapons, orbs, and relics.
Welcome back to my guides!
This guide will serve as a purpose to defeat Heroic Kronax, so I will write his list of attacks, and how to beat and counter them.
Passives (In General)
He will start with a cutscene. Press the Skip button in the bottom-right corner, or watch the cutscene.
HP does not matter in this fight, as he will always do percentage-based damage. It is better to have armor that boosts cooldowns or damage. If you have an element that makes you take increased damage, that will apply to the percentage-based damage. For example, Mutated will make you take 1.5 times damage and Radiant will make you take double damage.
Relics: There are four relics around the map. Once Kronax activates a large relic, all other large relics begin glowing. They have five million base HP and the active relic must be destroyed to continue dealing damage. These relics have a lifetime of 30 seconds. If one is not destroyed in that time, the timeline will end and you will die. When facing the throne, the relics activate in order from the right side of the throne toward the left.
Time Droplets: Time falls from the sky, dealing 25% of your maximum HP and slowing you down for a brief second. Jump over it or dash away.
Timeless Decay: When Kronax punches you because you moved near him during Single-Pulse or Multi-Pulse Timestream Decay, you will take damage over time equal to 15% of your maximum HP.
Locked-on Temporal Tear: Every five seconds, he will instantly use Temporal Tear. It can be avoided by dashing or having faster base speed. This attack targets all players within the battle from any direction.
Phase 1
Timeline Destruction: He sends pulsing and lingering projectiles every two seconds that linger for five seconds. Avoid them by staying a long distance away from him. With more players, he sends more projectiles, up to four to each player every two seconds. If you get near him during this attack, he will use his Timeless Decay punch, dealing percentage-based damage over time six times.
Flash Forward Barrage: He spams ten Flash Forwards at the player, dealing 30% of your HP per hit in rapid succession. Avoid it by dashing rapidly, or by having a faster element and staying far away.
Single-Pulse Timestream Decay: This has a long charge-up and is easy to dodge. He sends one pulse toward the player within a certain range. Simply walk out of it.
Chrono Shockwave: He stays in one spot while using this attack. If you are in the air, you will be hit. If you are on the floor, you will be safe.
Attacks cycle in this order:
Timeline Destruction.
Flash Forward Barrage.
Single-Pulse Timestream Decay.
Chrono Shockwave.
There are three-second delays after an attack is completed.
Relic Activation: The first time he activates a relic, he will be at 80% HP. Nothing changes besides him becoming immune until the relic is destroyed. Once he activates the second relic at 60% HP, Phase 2 begins.
Phase 2
He will use an attack based on what his last attack was in the previous phase.
Simple Phase Rewind: He heals 5% of his HP at the start of the second phase and at the end of his cycle. This does no damage, and you can attack him during this time. It replaces Chrono Shockwave.
Every time he activates a different attack, he summons a mini relic with four million base HP and twice the lifetime of the large relics. It will end the timeline and kill you if it is not destroyed.
Multi-Pulse Timestream Decay: He uses his Timestream pulse near the player and tracks the player while staying stationary. He uses the pulse seven times, then walks closer to use it again, repeating four or five times. Run around him in circles or move outside the horizontal range.
Attacks cycle in this order:
Timeline Destruction.
Flash Forward Barrage.
Multi-Pulse Timestream Decay.
Simple Phase Rewind.
There are three-second delays after an attack is completed.
True Phase Rewind: At 40% HP, he activates the third relic, becomes immune, and heals back 25% of his HP. Nothing else changes. He uses this attack only once.
Desperation Phase
Upon reaching 20% HP, he activates his final relic, spawns unkillable 60-second mini relics all over the area, and stops using Timeline Destruction and Simple Phase Rewind.
IMPORTANT: You have one minute to finish Kronax.
He will use Multi-Pulse Timestream Decay or Flash Forward Barrage depending on his last attack in the previous phase, and will alternate between the two.
Last Stand: Upon reaching 20 million HP, he stops attacking for three seconds before beginning a true bullet hell.
He only uses Charged Timeline Destruction, with a bigger area of effect and 0.5-second delays between attacks. He will not stop until he is dead.
He no longer punishes you for getting too close. The attack deals the same amount of damage, but faster.
Time Droplets spawn twice as fast, and mini relics spawn all around him.
