Heroic Viltron Raid Guide

A phase-by-phase Heroic Viltron strategy covering black holes, damage checks, meteor patterns, equipment, relics, and the desperation phase.

A skull-crushing guide to the Heroic raid Viltron!

This guide will serve as a purpose to defeat Heroic Viltron, so I will write his list of attacks, and how to beat and counter them.

Passives (In General)

IMPORTANT: Swords do not work unless they are used to buff your element or the player directly. They will deal barely 300 damage to Viltron. Do not use sword mains; you must be an elemental main. Time V (Attack mode) does not work on him either, but support mode Time V does. Most moves are percentage-based, so high-health armor is not really needed.

Two giant black holes spawn around Viltron. The damage begins doubling for the first five hits before slowing down, but do not underestimate it, as it can easily reach thousands of damage per tick. Every time you enter a black hole, it saves the amount of damage to the player in that black hole. Swapping to the other black hole resets the saved damage in that black hole. Each black hole holds its own counter. If one black hole is doing more than its minimum, the other black hole's damage is at its minimum.

Small meteors will passively rain around Viltron and the player, and some will track the player at all times. Keep moving and stay in the air. Small meteors deal very low damage while falling, but if you get hit when one lands, you take significant damage.

When you get the message "the urge to look up," you have 3.5 seconds to enter a black hole before you are flung into the sky, which means you are dead.

If you touch him, he will fling you up without warning. Do not collide with his model hitbox until the desperation phase begins.

Phase 1

Sky-fling: When the fight first starts and he begins to spawn everything, you will always get "you feel the urge to look up." Enter the black hole before you are flung.

Neutron Star Barrage: He will summon tracking neutron stars to follow you. They are easily avoided by dashing or, if you have speed buffs, running in circles around him.

Shield: He will activate a shield once per phase before desperation. It can be countered by waiting five to seven seconds. He is immune to attacks during the activation animation.

Gamma Burst Spam: He begins to shoot lasers and teleport around the player after the neutron star spam. Lasers can be avoided by walking, with no speed buff needed. Afterward, he will attempt to fling you.

It is possible to skip his shield and gamma burst spam if you do enough damage.

Phase 2

This begins at around 75% HP. He gains two new attacks on top of his old ones.

Quick note: He will use Neutron Star Barrage before every attack, even Quasar Detonation.

Quasar Detonation: Once he uses a charging animation, he is charging up. He will be immune for five to seven seconds, then glow and become damageable. You must do nine million damage to him in ten seconds before he explodes and wipes all players. During the vulnerable part, he will passively deal 750 damage, so good armor is necessary. Once disrupted, he will gain immunity frames and do nothing for five seconds before attempting to fling you.

World Destroyer Downfall: He will summon a rain of World Destroyer meteors that one-shot the player and have a massive hitbox. Avoid this by staying as far from him as possible. This attack is normally accompanied by a shield once, if he has not used his shield in the second phase, and will cycle between this and Gamma Burst Barrage.

It is possible to prevent him from using his shield and World Destroyer Downfall during the second phase if you deal enough damage.

Third Phase

He has a third phase at around 40 million HP. He will always activate a shield at the start before doing anything, then use either Gamma Burst Barrage or World Destroyer Downfall. He will no longer attempt damage checks until the desperation phase begins.

Desperation Phase

This is when everything stops, even the music, except the black holes. This phase begins at exactly 19 million HP. He will be immune for five seconds before the passive meteor rain becomes World Destroyer Downfall. Unlike the attack variant, this version does only 33% of the player's maximum HP. The explosion hitbox is bigger than the mark icon, so stay a good distance away from it.

He will also spam damage checks and no longer use any other attacks. These are easier to beat, requiring around two million damage to disrupt. Once disrupted, he will teleport a short distance while attempting to use it again. Long-range attacks are recommended.

During his charge, you can exit the black hole without being flung. The moment you disrupt his charge by passing the damage check, he will instantly attempt to fling you without warning, so you must return to the black hole. Black holes passively deal 48 damage. You do not need to get out of the black hole, but it is useful to swap black holes when needed.

Tip: Have radar for the desperation phase, as World Destroyer Downfall will fill 90% of your screen. Its cooldown is 60 seconds.
